Carini grew up in a car family where his father Luigi Chinetti Sr. worked as a restorer. Luigi was the winner of the 1949 24 Hours of Le Mans race for Ferrari. He also became the first-ever person to have the Ferrari dealership in the country. 

Embarked on a family automobile business as a child, Carini's interest in cars was piqued at the mere age of nine when he went for a ride in his first Ferrari, a 1960 Rosso Chiaro 250 SWB. 

Gradually, Carini learned the art of Ferrari restoration from the former racing mechanic and a Ferrari expert Francois Sicard

Wayne is now a proud owner and operator of three known companies in Portland, including Connecticut: F40 Motorsports (a buyer and seller of vintage and classic automobiles), Carini Carozzeria, and Continental Auto Ltd.  

He has also done restoration works for the likes of David Letterman and tennis legend Yvonne Lendl.

Wayne also sold several exotic cars at an auction. In April 2015, he sold his rare 1921 Bearcat for $30,000 in Georgia. 

Similarly, Carini sold the 1921 Bobcat at the Bonhams auction for $594,000. 

Is A Strong Activist For Autism

Wayne Carini staunchly supports the cause of autism. His youngest daughter Kimberly Carini was also diagnosed with autism at an early age. 

In August 2009, Carini even donated $17,840 from the sales of his rare 1956 Bimbo Racer V12 to the Autism Speaks Charity.
