The star would drop out of college after 2 years to focus on acting. One of his first acting jobs was on The Cosby Show, where he worked alongside Bill Cosby.

Howard has been married four times and is currently engaged to Mira Pak as of March 2020. His first wife was Lori McCommas, whom he married in 1989. The pair divorced in 2003. They would remarry in 2005 and divorce in 2007.

He then married Michelle Ghent in 2010, and their marriage lasted around 3 years, and they called their marriage off in 2013.

The same year as his divorce with Ghent, he tied the knot with Mira Pak in 2013, and they divorced in 2013. In December 2018, he got engaged to Mira Pak again.
