Rosemary Clooney was an American singer and actress who rose to prominence from the song Come On-a My House in the early 1950s.
She then released hit songs like Botch-a-Me, Hey There, This Ole House, Tenderly, Mambo Italiano, and Half as Much. Since her first album release in 1953, Rosemary released over 30 hit studio albums. Few of her movie credits are The Stars Are Singing, White Christmas, Twilight Theater, and Radioland Murders.

Rosemary released her Come On-a My House in 1951 which became an instant hit. The following year, she released her debut album titled Hollywood’s Best with Harry James.
Since 1992, Rosemary released a total of 62 albums and 77 singles. In 1976, Rosemary signed with United Artists Records. The following year, she began recording an album a year for the Concord Jazz record label which continued until her death in 2002.
Besides her singing career, she also made few appearances in films and television shows. She made her acting debut in 1947 from Tony Pastor and His Orchestra.

Rose grew up alongside her siblings Betty, Gail Stone, Saucy Sylvia, and Nick Clooney in Maysville. She went to St. Patrick School, Western Hills University High School, and Withrow University High School.

Mary was married for thrice throughout her life-time. At the time of her death, she was married to her longtime friend Dante DiPaolo. They exchanged their vows on 7 November 1997 at St. Patrick’s Church in Maysville, Kentucky.
The couple remained married until her death on 29 June 2002. But they do not share any children.
Previously, Rosemary was married twice to Jose Ferrer who was a Puerto Rican movie star. They first married on 1 June 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma.
The couple shared five children: Miguel, Maria, Gabriel, Monsita, and Rafael. However, the pair got divorced for the first time on 9 May 1962.
Two years later, Rose and Jose remarried on 24 November 1964 in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, their marriage crumbled for the second time after Ferrer was caught having an affair with another woman, Stella Magee (who later became his wife). They got divorced for good on 12 September 1967.

Despite the surgery, Rose passed away six months later on 29 June 2002 at her Beverly Hills home at the age of 74. She is laid to peace in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Maysville.
In September of 2007, a mural was painted in downtown Maysville in her memory. The mural highlights her lifelong friendship with Blanche Chambers, her singing career, and the 1953 premiere of The Stars are Singing.
On 25 June 2019, Rosemary was listed by The New York Times Magazines among hundreds of other artists whose material was destroyed in the 2008 Universal Fire.
