Robin Thicke is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer. The son of the esteemed Canadian actor Alan Thicke and the American singer/actress Gloria Loring.

He became a household name for his #1 charting 2013 single "Blurred Lines", which brought him equal parts fame and notoriety.

In this article, we look at the net worth of the controversial singer-songwriter including how his wealth came to be.

Robin Thicke: Net Worth & Salary Breakdown

As of June 2020, Robin Thicke has a net worth of $15 million. His net worth comes from his salary as a singer, musician, songwriter, record producer, and TV personality.

The son of industry juggernaut parents, Robin picked up their traits very early on.

Despite inheriting his parents' abilities, Thicke started his career as a record producer and songwriter for other musicians like Christina Aguilera, Jordan Knight, and Brandy, to name a few.

Catapulting off the success of his debut single "When I Get You Alone", Thicke released his debut studio album, A Beautiful World, in 2003.

His 2005 sophomore album The Evolution of Robin Thicke moved 1.5 million copies in the US alone and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.

After incremental successes of his subsequent albums, Something Else, Sex Therapy, Love After War, Thicke found widespread recognition with his sixth studio album, Blurred Lines -- particularly with the title track.

The single featuring rappers T.I. and Pharrell and its accompanying, highly sexualized, and highly controversial music video garnered a buzz worldwide that was equal parts praise and equal parts condemnation.

Nonetheless, the song peaked at #1 in 14 countries and landed Thicke two Grammy Award nominations.

His seventh studio album, Paula, was released in 2014 in his then-wife, Paula Patton's namesake, and was meant as a last-ditch effort to get her back at a time when their marriage was on the rocks. The marriage ended anyway and the album itself bombed.

Thicke has also forayed into acting and besides his stint as a judge in the ABC singing competition reality show, Duets, and his fictionalized portrayal in Real Husbands of Hollywood, Thicke has made appearances in TV shows like The Wonder Years, Just the Ten of Us, and Growing Pains.

"Our house is somewhere in there. I’m so sad but so thankful that we all made it out safe. Praying for everyone in Malibu, our city is up in flames."
