Television Hosts Holly Willoughby And Phillip Schofield Getting A Payrise Of £150,000 Each

  1. This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are getting a pay rise of £150k each to host the show for extra 30 minutes.
  2. The hosts are currently receiving £600,000 annually and the increment brings their salary to £750k.
  3. The ITV heads came with the idea months after its hit daytime show The Jeremy Kyle Show was canceled after one of its guests died of an overdose.
  4. The show will begin in a new time i.e. 10 instead of 10:30 and the new format will be brought in to practice from January 2020.

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are getting a significant pay rise. The British television hosts are reportedly offered an additional £150k each for an extra 30 minutes on This Morning.

Following the cancellation of The Jeremy Kyle Show, ITV bosses decided to extend This Morning for extra 30 minutes instead of bringing a new show. The show will transfigure to its new format from January 2020.

The show will be aired on weekdays from 10 am to 12:30 pm instead of current 10:30 am. Two more shows will be rescheduled from January-Good Morning Britain will start at 6:30 am while Lorraine hosted by Lorraine Kelly is also expected to have a late start at 9 in the morning.

According to the sources Holly, 38, and Phillip, 57, are currently receiving an alluring £600k annually and the increment brings their annual salary to £750k each. Holly, who was receiving £400k, was given a pay rise of £200k in 2017 to bring her salary in line with Phillip's.

The Jeremy Kyle Show was canceled in earlier May after a guest, Steve Dymond died from an overdose. Dymond was found dead 10 days later he failed a love rat lie detector test on the daytime show. The show was canceled on May 10 after 16 seasons and 3,320 episodes.

The daytime show's slot was temporarily filled by several shows including Judge Rinder. Meanwhile, the chat show host Craig Ferguson was reported to replace Kyle's slot earlier this month, however, the ITV heads didn't want to replace the show directly.
