Ermias Joseph Asghedom, professionally known as Nipsey Hussle, a late American rapper, entrepreneur & activist died at the age of 33 in 2019, after a fatal gunshot. Turned professional in 2005, Nipsey throughout his career released a studio album, 13 mixtapes & 49 singles.

With the release of the first mixtape, Slauson Boy Volume 1, Hussle career in the music industry saw breakthrough & even more, released successful mixtapes: The Marathon, The Marathon Continues and Crenshaw.

Along with music venture, the late rapper's got his hands in entrepreneurship & co-founded Marathon Clothing store- inaugurated on June 17, 2017.

In 2013, the late rapper had released his 8th mixtape, Crenshaw, with a limited 1,000 copies with $100-a-piece & sold all within 24 hours, totaling $100,000.

Reportedly, the 22 Grammy Awards-winning rapper Jay-Z personally bought 100 copies of the mixtape Crenshaw, worth $1,000.

Moreover, in the 2014 New Year's Eve, Hussle released his another mixtape Mailbox Money (9th mixtape); it also had a limited 1,000 copies costing $100-a-piece.

Breakthrough To Music Career: Debut Mixtape & Launch Of Record Label

In 2005, the rapper emerged to fame through the West Coast hip hop scene after the release of independent mixtape Slauson Boy Volume 1. 

It gained him a contract with Cinematic Music Group and Epic Records, & released 2 installments of the mixtape Bullets Ain't Got No Name (Vol.1 & Vol. 2) in 2008.

Some of his famous singles are The Life, Gotta Take It, They Roll and Feelin' Myself. 

Moreover, his songs "Rap Niggas" and "Last Time That I Checc'd" became RIAA: Gold certified while "Racks in the Middle" received Platinum certification.

Entrepreneurship: Co-Founded Clothing Store 'The Marathon'

On June 17, 2017, Nipsey co-founded & launched the Marathon Clothing store in partnership with Carless, Karen Civil, and Samiel Asghedom, in South Los Angeles.

Moreover, he also bought a small store center (L-shaped) in nearby his clothing store, along with his partner David Gross, a real estate investor.

As for a fact, Hussle was fatally shot out of his Marathon Clothing Store in 2019.

Nipsey was born on August 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, the USA, to Dawit Asghedom and Angelique Smith

Raised in Crenshaw of South Los Angeles alongside brother Samuel and sister Samantha, he attended Hamilton High School but dropped out & later left home.

Reportedly, he joined street gang Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips at the age of 14; later his father took him, by the time he turned 19.

Later, after his music career flourished, he denounced gun violence through his music & songs. Even more, he created a co-working environment named Vector 90 to inspire & give solutions to youths.

Reason Of Death: Was Fatally Shot

Nipsey was reportedly shot 10 times outside his The Marathon Clothing store at South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019, at around 3:19 PM.

By the time, he was taken to hospital, the rapper was pronounced dead, at the age of 33.

Even though the rapper Rapper GBO Gaston claimed to be one to shoot Hussle, the LA Police Department later arrested a suspect named Eric Ronald Holder Jr. on April 2, 2019.

The investigators believe that some personal matter between the two was the reason for the incident.
