Nicole Byer was born on August 29, 1986, in Lincroft, New Jersey. The 33-year-old is the youngest daughter of Trevor Byer, a scientist for AT&T, and his wife, Lille Byer.

Deciding to pursue acting, Byer moved to New York straight out of high school and began taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
