Mick Mars began his career in the music career, performing with various rock bands for around a decade. He began playing guitar in numerous of blues-based rock bands taking small jobs. He was so frustrated with the California music scene and then decided to make a fresh start. 

Mars then posted an advertisement in the Los Angeles newspaper The Recycler, self-proclaiming himself as a rude, loud, and aggressive guitar player in April 1981. In order to hire him for the band Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee contacted him.

Mick has contributed writing songs to musician John LeCompt and bands like Machina and Cash diet. Additionally, on the title track of Hinder’s 2008 album, Take It to the Limit, the musician worked as a guitarist. He also performed as a solo guitarist in the song, Into the Light by Papa Roach.  

Similarly, in 2009, Mars also served as a solo guitarist on Hinder’s 2009 soundtrack, Metamorphosis. In 2010, he also co-wrote the song with Escape the Fate for the band’s self-titled track, which was reserved for a later release.

Health Issue        

The co-founder of the band Mötley Crüe Mick has badly suffered from ankylosing spondylitis. The illness affects the spine and pelvis. He was only 17 when it was diagnosed. At the end of 2004, this resulted in hip-replacement surgery. 

After some years, the condition caused Mars’ lower spine to seize up and freeze completely solid. This caused a medical condition in which a person’s spine has a sideways curve, Scoliosis, and due to the effect, he was 3 inches shorter than he was in high school.
