He was adopted by Leo and Sophia Lemons on July 29, 1974. He got into the automotive business early on as his grandfather owned two of the biggest Chevrolet dealerships in the US. He graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Political science and criminology.
