Raised a Roman Catholic, Leah, at the age of 9 joined the Church of Scientology & later worked as a Scientologist before leaving on bitter terms in 2013.

As for a fact, already in November 2016, Leah demanded a $1.5 million in compensatory damages against the church.

Allegedly, the church of Scientology sent letters to executives at A&E and parent company ABC to stop her show Scientology and the Aftermath. The A&E gave no comments on allegations though.

Why Leah Left Church Of Scientology?

Leah cited that forbidden questioning to the management, which she believed was corrupt & internal abuse was the main reason for her departure from the church. 

It began after Remini along with the Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige attended the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in 2006, where Leah asked about whereabouts of Miscavige's wife.

In response, David reportedly told that Leah Remini was in a lower rank to do so & furthermore, was blacklisted within the Church.
