Sudden Death

LA Lakers and basketball legend Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria Onore Bryant and seven others just 30 miles (48 km) far from downtown Los Angeles on 26th January 2020.

The star and his daughter were with the assistant girls basketball coach at Harbor Day School in the helicopter. All of them were going to attend a basketball game at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, where Gianna was to play, and Bryant was to coach.

According to a meteorologist from CNN, the visibility at the time of the crash was very low, and relative humidity was also 100%, which might have made it difficult for the pilot to fly Kobe Bryant’s private Sikorsky S-76 helicopter.  

His widow Vanessa Bryant has filed a lawsuit against the company blaming them for the loss of her husband, daughter, and six other passengers.
