Kenneth Copeland, 84, is an American televangelist and author associated with the Charismatic Movement who runs the Tarrant County, a Texas-based Kenneth Copeland Ministries.

The ministries’ motto is Jesus is Lord from Romans 10:9. Kenneth, along with his friends and family, also preaches at other conventions and conferences throughout the world. Portions of recorded conferences are shown Sundays, and most of these episodes are also available on BVOV.tv.

He also founded the Kenneth Copeland Ministries on 1500 acres of land, which was valued at $554,160 as of 2008. The site includes the Eagle Mountain International Church, radio production, and television facilities, warehouse, and distribution facilities.

KCM owns a 1998 Cessna 550 Citation Bravo, which was received from a donor in October 2007 and is used for domestic flights. They also own a 2005 Cessna 750 Citation X, which is used for international flights.

Lawsuits And Legal Problems

In 2009, Kenneth’s $3.6 million worth jet was denied tax-exempt status, opening up a possible investigation into the church’s expenses. He failed to disclose the salaries of his directors, and in 2008, the ministry stated it owned five airplanes (one of them valued at $17.5 million).

In 2015, comedian John Oliver criticized the Copelands for using tax laws to live in a $6.3 million mansion as the parsonage allowance for their home is not subject to income taxes. Also, for using church donations to buy a $20 million jet that was reportedly used for trips to a ski resort and a private game ranch.

Kenneth Max Copeland was born on 6th December 1936 in Lubbock, Texas, the USA to Aubrey Wayne and Vinita Pearl Ownes. He has white ethnic descent and is an American as per his nationality.  

Following his high school graduation, he enrolled at Oral Roberts University, where he later became a pilot and chauffeur to Oral Roberts.
