Ken Jeong is an American comedian, actor, and physician who came to the spotlight from her role Ben Chang on the American sitcom Community (2009- 2015).

Later, Jeong earned massive fame after playing gangster Leslie Chow in The Hangover film trilogy (2009-2013) & in the sitcom Dr. Ken (2015-2017).

Ken has been professionally active as an actor and comedian in the entertainment industry for over 3 decades.

Jeong began with stand-up comedy while he was studying internal medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center. However, he gave up on his medical practices in order to pursue an acting career. 

He grabbed people's attention after winning the Big Easy Laff-Off in 1995 and was urged to move to Los Angeles by both the judges. He then started performing at Laugh Factory comedy clubs and The Improv.

He grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina where he attended Walter Hines Page High School. Ken enrolled and graduated from Duke University in 1990. 

In 1995, he earned his M.D. from the UNC School of Medicine. Moreover, Jeong completed his residency in internal medicine at the Ochsner Medical Center located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Moving unto his personal life, Ken is a married man and father to two kids. He tied the knot to his longtime girlfriend-turned-wife Tran Ho who is a Vietnamese American family physician. Tran Ho is also a breast cancer survivor.
