Rescue Fails Of TV Series 'Bar Rescue'

In his career spanning over 30 years, Jon reportedly has helped for establishment & worked on the rescue of over 600 businesses.

However, not all of them saw perks of success- the most common reason is, when Jon Taffer walks in for the rescue, many of them are already on the edge of the financial crash.

Check out some rescue fails of Bar Rescue:

  1. Downey's Irish Pub- On July 24, 2011, the episode named "Downey's and Out" aired where Jon made changes in the pub that was potentially aimed to aid its financial growth. However, it was sold on August 2, 2011- the reason was the pub owed $2.5 million to Philadelphia and Wells Fargo bank.

  2. Los Angeles Brewing Company: It is reported to be Jon's most expensive yet the biggest failure, aired on Season 4.

After LA Brewing Company saw downhill in income, under Taffer's suggestion, they invested $1 million to update the bar- installation of a self-service beer tap and an in-house brewing system. However, later it was revealed that those supplement changes didn't take effect & even more, the business was put for sale.

As for a fact, in the entire career in Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer has waked out without any help for 3 times, citing that owners lacked incompetence & unwillingness to accept any change in the business infrastructure:

  1. O'Face Bar (Season 3, "Punch Drunk and Trailer Trashed" episode)
  2. Second Base (Season 4, "Second Base, Third Strike" episode)
  3. Black Light District (Season 4, "Drunk on Punk" episode)
