John Stamos, 57, is an American actor, producer, musician, comedian, and singer who made his acting breakthrough as Blackie Parrish on the ABC TV series General Hospital.

He is also widely known for his starring role as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House. From 2005 to 2009, he played Dr. Tony Gates on the NBC medical drama ER.

He then went on to play Gino Minnelli in the short-lived CBS sitcom Dreams. In 1986, he appeared in the sitcom You Again? alongside Jack Klugman.

In the late 1980s, John joined the cast of American television sitcom Full House. The show eventually became a hit and it solidified his career. He appeared in the show from 1987 to 1995 until the show ended after its eight-season.

John Phillip Stamos was born on 19th August 1963 in Cypress, California, the United States of America to William Bill Stamos and Loretta Phillips. He is American as per his nationality and has mixed (Greek, English, Irish) ethnicity.

He went to John F. Kennedy High School where he played in the marching band. He then enrolled at Cypress College, however, he dropped out in the first semester to focus on his acting career.
