Famous American rapper Jadakiss(real name Jason Phillips), the member of the rap group The Lox and Ruff Ryders, has accumulated the net worth of $6 million

He is also a founder of the label, D-Block Records along with other member of The Lox. Apart from his group involvement, he has also released many singles and several solo albums.   

Earning From Musical Career Since 1994

Developing the interest in the music since early age, Jason participated in freestyle competitions when he was just 12 years old. His participation in the show changed his life as he was noticed by the owners of Ruff Ryders Entertainment

He alongside other rappers, Styles and Louch, began rapping together, after forming a group, The Warlocks. The trio impressed Mary J. Blige and she handed the band's demo to Puff Daddy and viola, they got signed by the Bad Boy Entertainment.

They sang a tribute to The Notorious BIG with the song We'll Always Love Big Poppa, and it was their very first hit. The Lox released their platinum certified debut album, Money, Power & Respect in 1998. It peaked at the No. 1 at the US R&B charts for quite some time. 

Two years later, they released another studio album We are the Streets, then, Filthy America...It's Beautiful after much gap in 2016. 

Around 2009, they released a compilation album No Security while they released a number of singles now and then.

44 years old Jadakiss seems to be single at the moment but previously he was in a complicated relationship with the reality star Winter Ramos.

He is the father of Jaewon Phillips, however, the details on his kid's mother is unknown. 

Legal Issues

In 2004, he was arrested  in North Carolina  for the possession of marijuana and a gun. After several months of trail, he reached a plea agreement on the misdemeanor charges and paid $900 as fine. After two years, he was again in the custody for the same issue. 

In the August of 2009, two men were charged on several felony after police raided Jadakiss' Yonkers, New York apartment where they found heroin (5 grams) and marijuana (6.5 pounds). The rapper was not investigated for the issue. 

Controversy

In 2004, he was dragged in the controversy by political commentator Bill O'Reilly after he labeled the rapper as a "smear merchant" due to his song 'Why?' where he has mentioned that George W. Bush was involved in the attacks of 11.11. 

Bill held the opinion that the former President should be allowed to sue the rapper for slander. The track was banned on some stations and on others, the lyrics with the slander was censored. 

50 Cent

In 2004, Ja Rule featured Jadakiss and Fat Joe for a song, New York, where they critique 50 Cent's G Unit. Following this, 50 Cent also took shots at the artists involved with the song with his song titled Piggy Bank. 

This infuriated Jadakiss and hence, he released a number of diss tracks Checkmate, Problem Child, Shots Fired, and I'm Sorry Ms. Jackson. This followed with 50 Cent's diss tracks I Run New York, Window Shopper, and Death Wish. 

Somewhile later, Jadakiss challenged 50 Cent for an onstage battle for $1 million but 50 Cent declined. Jadakiss and G-Unit resolved the feud later on performing together at 50 Cent's Thisis50 Festival in 2009.
