Ivana Marie “Ivanka” Trump, 39, is an American businesswoman and author who serves as a senior advisor to her father, President Donald J. Trump, since 2017. She is one of the wealthiest people in her family, with a net worth of $300 million as of 2020.       

Ivanka is a fourth-generation businessperson who followed in the footsteps of her great-grandmother Elizabeth, grand-father Fred, and father, Donald. As of March 2017, she began serving in her father’s presidential administration as a senior adviser alongside her husband, Jared Kushner

In 2007, she partnered with Dynamic Diamond Corp., the company of diamond vendor Moshe Lax, and created Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, a line of diamond and gold jewelry sold at her retail store. 

In December 2012, several members of 100 Women in Hedge Funds elected her to their board. Besides this, Ivanka also had her own line of fashion items, including clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories, which is available in major U.S. and Canadian department stores, including Macy’s and Hudson’s Bay. 

On 2nd February 2017, after months of poor sales and customer boycotting, department store chains dropped her fashion line citing poor performance. 

On 24th July 2018, she announced that she shut down her company to pursue a career in public policy instead of returning to her fashion business. 

Modeling Career

Trump began her modeling career as a teenager, modeling on weekends and holidays. She was also featured in print advertisements for Tommy Hilfiger and Sasson Jeans and also walked for Versace, Thierry Mugler, and Marc Bouwer. 

Similarly, she was also featured in the women’s and special interest publications and was featured on the cover of some issues such as Forbes Life, Harper’s Bazaar, Golf Magazine, Vogue, and Town & Country.

In 2006, Ivanka filled in for Carolyn Kepcher on five episodes of The Apprentice 5, her father’s television program. While in the show, she visited the site of the tasks and spoke to the teams. She also collaborated with the Season 5 winner Sean Yazbeck on his winner’s project of choice. 

She also appeared as herself alongside husband Jared in 6th episode of Gossip Girl Season 4 starring Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Chace Crawford.   

She published her first self-help book titled The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life in October 2009. Likewise, her second book Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success was released in May 2017. The book peaked at number four in the “Advice, How-To and Misc.” category of the New York Time bestseller list and received negative criticism.

In 2015, Ivanka publicly endorsed her father's presidential campaign; however, she admitted mixed feelings about his presidential ambitions.     

On 20th January 2017, she attended the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States of America.

In March 2017, Ivanka left her position in the Trump Organization and began serving in her father's presidential administrator as a senior adviser.

Ivana Marie "Ivanka" Trump was born on 30th October 1981 in New York City to President Donald Trump and Ivana Zelnickova. She holds an American nationality and has mixed ethnic descent. 

She went to the Chapin School before transferring to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. She then attended Georgetown University for about two years and then transferred to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania from where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2004.

Trump began dating real estate developer Jared Kushner in 2005. Although the couple separated in 2008 due to Jared's parents, they got back together and exchanged their wedding vows on 25th October 2009 in a Jewish Ceremony.
