2. Neuilly-sur-Seine Mansion: The million dollars worth accommodation is located on the bank of the river Seine. The Modern style mansion was built back in 1951 in a wealthy Paris neighborhood.  

The manor was constructed after the marriage of Liliane Bettencourt and Andre Bettencourt. 

Besides that, Liliane Bettencourt also owned an island. She was the owner of D'Arros Island in Seychelles worth $60 million. The oval-shaped island is 2 km long and 990 meters wide.  

Bettencourt bought the isle in 1998 from the prince Shahram Pahlavi Nia of Iran.

Liliane Bettencourt was estimated to have a net worth of around $46 billion at the time of her death, according to Celebrity Net Worth. In contrast, another site including The Richest claimed her fortune to be around $42.3 billion.   

With her massive wealth, Bettencourt was named the richest woman on the planet. She also ranked #1 on the list of the wealthiest person in France and the 11th wealthiest in the overall world.

At the end of her life, Liliane Bettencourt owned roughly 33% stake of cosmetics giant L'Oreal viz. 185 million shares. Moreover, she also held around a 30% share of Nestle.
