How To Earn Money From Home During The Lockdown And Quarantine? Read These Seven Ways To Earn In Self-Isolation

As almost the whole world has gone on lockdown and the global economy plummets, most people are out of the workplace but have an abundance of time.

Instead of getting bored and binge-watching every Netflix show, you can do something productive like learn a new skill or take up a new job in which you can work from home.

Almost everyone self-isolating is either scared or bored, so to take your mind off both these things, a productive task or job would help immensely.

In fact, you can take advantage of this time to earn some money from home while waiting for this global pandemic to come under control. Here are a few ways to earn money from home while you self-isolate.

7. Start A Gaming Channel On Twitch

Playing video games is one of the most entertaining things to do in a lockdown, and it is safer compared to other outdoor activities. While you are playing non-stop, why not generate some income from it.

Twitch gamers Turner Tenney and Sodapoppin are some of the biggest gamers on Twitch and earn a high revenue right from home. While they started their channel years ago, you can take this time to stream what you play to audiences around the world and earn some money while playing games.

6. Paid Online Surveys

Surveys are another way by which you can earn money right from home; all you have to do is answer a few questions about a given topic or product.

Most surveys take only a bit of your time and reward you with anywhere from $1 to $500 (figures may vary). Our research suggests that a 5-30 minutes survey will reward you with around $50 to $100.

5. Teach An Online Course

Even the most skilled person has been locked down, but free time is a perfect opportunity to share these skills with someone else. If u have some knowledge on something, you can use various online teaching platforms to put up a course online and get paid for it.

Many schools in the USA have also taken to this method, but you can choose what to teach and what price to charge for it on these various websites.

4. Do Some Freelance Work

If you are in the IT industry, you are probably working from home and getting paid for it, but people with little IT knowledge who are not working right now can take up some freelance work to earn some money.

Freelancing can be especially helpful for website builders as clients pay around $100 an hour for a well-made website.

3. Become A Social Media Influencer

Just because you are self -isolating doesn’t mean that you cannot be active on social media. Use this time to take photos and upload them on Instagram or make videos and post them on YouTube.

For example, if you have the know-how and some makeup lying around, making a makeup tutorial is one of the best videos you can make with limited resources and staying inside.

2. Website Testing

Like the other tips on the list, this one is also a digital-based way to earn money. There are millions of websites being created each year, and many need testing, which the developers themselves cannot do.

This provides a perfect opportunity for the self-isolated bunch to earn money from a simple task. Pay for these jobs is around $10 for 10 minutes of work. The prerequisites of this only include a strong internet connection, a computer with a working microphone, and a PayPal account.

1. Selling Off The Years Of Hoarded Junk

Every household has a lot of things that are not all that necessary, like the clothes that barely fit anyone in the house or the numerous containers lying around the house that barely get used.

Some of us also hoard around a lot of furniture that we don’t really need so that spring cleaning that you have been postponing for a long time can get finally done and later, when the situation returns to normal, you can sell al of the stuff you don’t need.

Also, consider donating something to the needy to earn good karma.
