The 48-year-old actress made her acting debut in 1993 from an American TV sitcom Family Matters, where she played a minor role. She then went on to appear on television shows like Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Moesha, Goode Behavior, 7TH Heaven, and more.

For her outstanding performance in the show, Union won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie and was nominated for NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, BET Award for Best Actress, and Black Reel Award for Best Actress T.V. Movie/Cable.

As of 2019, she stars as Syd Burnett in the American police drama series L.A.’s Finest alongside Jessica Alba and Duane Martin. The show first premiered on 13th May 2019 and was renewed for a second season, which will premiere in 2020.

She appeared as one of the judges in Season 19 of an American talent show America’s Got Talent alongside Brad Paisley, Dwyane Wade, Jay Leno, and Ellie Kemper.   

She is set to play Detective Lieutenant Sydney Syd Burnett in an upcoming project Bad Girls set to release in 2021.

In 2018 following her husband’s retirement, Gabrielle and Dwyane purchased an 8,650 square foot mansion in Sherman Oaks, California. The 5-bedroom, 8-bathroom house cost them $5.995 million.

A few months later, the couple listed their 14,000 square-foot Miami Beach Home for $32.5 million. As per sources, Wade purchased the 6-bedroom 9-bathroom waterfront estate for $10.645 million back in 2010 and renovated it to a basketball court. 

Union and her husband Wade also added a $20 million worth bungalow at Hidden Hills, California to their list.  

Prior to her marriage with Dwyane, she owned a 1,864 square foot house since 2001.

Together they share a daughter named Kaavia James Union Wade born on 7th November 2018. She is the step-mother to Zaire Blessing Dwyane, Zion Malachi Airamis, and Xavier Zechariah Wade (from Wade’s previous relationship). 

Prior to her wedding with Wade, she was married to NFL player Chris Howard. They tied the knot on 5th May 2001 and separated after four years in October 2005. Their divorce was officially finalized in 2006.
