David Ogden Stiers died at the age of 75 on 3 March 2018, the same year we lost comic books mogul Stan Lee and music legend, Mac Miller. He died due to complications related to bladder cancer in his Newport house.

At his funeral, he was cremated to ashes. According to his wish, his ashes were scattered at the Pacific Ocean.
