In the fighting career of 12 years (1998- 2010 & for a match in 2018), Chuck Liddel grabbed wide attention with notable fights against the likes of Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, and Quinton Jackson.
The California Polytechnic State University alum was a Division I wrestler while at college & soon began kickboxing as an amateur, that stands with 20 wins and 2 losses.
After training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Chuck made his UFC debut on May 15, 1998, at UFC 17 & won against Noe Hernandez.

In August 2019, Chuck Liddell & Smith couple: Kenneth and Hayley, who had bought the UFC fighter's Atascadero property in 2015 made a settlement of $70,000.
The couple filed a lawsuit in December 2016 against Liddell & his real estate agent Dustin Ward as well as San Diego-based mortgage company 4 USA Loans Inc, stating the breach of contract & fraud.
