What Is Billie Lourd's Net Worth?

According to celebritynetworth.com, Billie Lourd's net worth as of April 2020 stands at $20 million.

Born and raised in the shadow of her actress mother (who, for the ten of you who haven't watched Star Wars yet, played the iconic Princess Leia), Billie dreamed of herself emulating the success her mother had as an actress.

Bringing things full circle, Billie landed a role in the sequel to the original Star Wars trilogy, 2015's Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. She played Lieutenant Connix and received pointers from her mother, Carrie, who herself had returned to reprise her role as Princess Leia.

Billie would go on to appear in both the subsequent installments in the Star Wars franchise, reprising her role in 2017's Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi and 2019's Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

In 2015, Billie landed the role of Chanel #3 in the Fox slasher-comedy-horror series, Scream Queens. She joined the ensemble cast, which included, among others, Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, and Abigail Breslin.

She impressed the showrunners, so much so, that she landed a role in the FX anthology-horror series, American Horror Story. With each season featuring a completely new storyline and characters, we got to see Billie's versatility first-hand.

Billie went on to further impress in the 2019 coming-of-age comedy movie, Booksmart, directed by Olivia Wilde. She won the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society's Best Supporting Actress distinction for her portrayal of Gigi.

Inheritance

On December 27, 2016, Carrie Fisher passed away at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, after four days in intensive care. She had been aboard a commercial airliner returning home from a European book tour when she was found unresponsive.

The patrons administered CPR, and she was transported to the UCLA Medical Center, where she was placed in intensive care. After four days, Carrie was officially pronounced dead; she had been 60.

The official cause of death listed a litany of various causes, chief among which was sleep apnea and fatty-tissue buildup in the arteries. She also had traces of various drugs, including cocaine, heroin, and MDMA in her system.

While the world mourned the loss of Princess Leia, for Lourd, though, the pain was multiplied a thousand-fold: she had lost her mother. To make matters worse, Billie's grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, upon hearing of her daughter's death, suffered a stroke, and passed away. The fact that that should happen the day after her mother died was especially heartbreaking for Billie, who had lost both her mother and grandmother in one fell swoop.

Hollow consolation though it may be, Carrie left behind her $25 million fortune, whose sole beneficiary was the-then 24-year-old Billie. Carrie's living-will stipulated that her fortunes be inherited by her only child: Billie, in the event of her death.

Billie inherited her mother's fortunes, which included her $25 million estate, a 2016 Tesla Model S luxury sedan, several LLCs' Holdings, personal memorabilia, and assets. Carrie also signed off her imaging rights and royalties she was set to make from her book and her Star Wars appearances to Billie.

Early Life And Childhood

Billie Lourd was born Billie Catherine Lourd on July 17, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. She is the only child born to actress Carrie Fisher and talent agent Bryan Lourd; she shares an adopted half-sister, Ava, from her father's side.

Billie is also the only grandchild of actress and singer, Debbie Reynolds, and singer and actor, Eddie Fisher.

Billie majored in psychology with a minor in religion from New York University. She graduated in 2014.

Personal Life And Relationships

Billie was in a relationship with actor Taylor Lautner -- of Twilight fame, for eight months. They started dating in late 2016, and Taylor was her rock when her mother and grandmother died one day apart from each other. They broke up in 2017.
